Where is the cavalry, you know, the companies that have pledged to support Linux?!?! Oh!!! Seems General Dynamics didn't join the OIN. Safety in numbers, people,... |

Quoting:As usual with Microsoft patent agreements, the contents have not been disclosed. However, Microsoft says it will receive royalties from General Dynamics Itronix. That says it all, but it is getting little annoying. I still think that the GPL (2&3 if doesn't have it) need to be amended to include a clause forcing the disclosure of any items in any agreement that involves Linux. |

GPL 3 generally forbids it, but Linux is under the GPL 2. Plus, these "licensing agreements" are often covenants not to sue, and don't speak to the underlying patents, copyright licenses, or their validity. |
