With baited breath? Here in the southern parts of the US, we take that as someone who's been eating fish bait. Never quite understood that colloquialism |

Hey Sun Guy, She really means 'bated breath', i.e. panting in anticipation. However, the breaths are too shallow to provide sufficient oxygen to keep one conscious or in a rational state. Thus, a precarious situation that needs to be remedied promptly. But there is another interpretation here, perhaps she set the bait* to reel you in ... YBT * [edit] Replaced mistaken 'l' with the "t" that was supposed to have been there, i.e. not bail - but bait. |

Nit-pickers anonymous here. I believe that should be spelled 'bated breath'. |

When my dogs like my breath I figure it's pretty well baited. |

Quoting:When my dogs like my breath I figure it's pretty well baited.LOL. Ferrets have a reputation for liking smelly, dirty socks. Same idea, I guess. My ferrets have better taste than that. They love fresh, clean laundry. |
