For home installations selinux is more trouble than it is worth. For larger networks that is probably a different story. If you want disable selinux: Log into root. cd to /etc/selinux. Open the config file in an editor. Change SELINUX=enforcing to SELINUX=disable. Restart the X server or reboot the machine. |

I don't agree with you at all, BFM. It's pretty darned easy to setup SELinux in Permissive Mode, which means it blocks nothing but logs. Use the logs to build a policy that makes sense and you are done. It isn't much effort but it does enhance security quite a bit. Considering I mostly run my business out of my home office I have extra incentive to leave it on. |
