I have still not found a use for Screenlets

Supposedly, screenlets, being always on the desktop, it's easier to view them. The problem is my desktop is always covered by one or more applications, that I don't want to minimise just to view a screenlet. In any case, I don't like icons on my desktop, and as screenlets are basically giant icons.... |

Same here. Why not try to perceive it in a positive way: We found yet another use for a second monitor! |

That's why I use GKrellM, with its gauges and meters all in a compact row, and configure Sawfish to leave it uncovered. |
