It's quite unwieldy actually, it doesn't look all that great, and it's not configurable. It looks and feels like a Mobile Phone UI, As I posted in another thread, I tried both the netbook edition and the desktop edition on a 10 inch netbook. I kept the desktop edition.

I'v eperimented with DockBarX on the netbook and using DockBarX in place of the Unity fixed panel is a much more pleasant experience, and you get decent previews.

The only problem with the DockBarX applet is that it only allows about 10 different applications to be displayed.

wbar is another good dock applet that works well with netbooks. I find the combination of PekWM, wbar, and PCManFM makes for a very nice netbook desktop. I particularly like the way PekWM makes it easy to put several apps into a single tabbed window, a feature I find very useful with limited screen estate.
