I wonder if Steve would allow it, Apple is part of MPEG Group and Apple wouldn't like a player that play open source formats. But then they let Opera browser in so maybe. It would be extremely valuable since people won't have to spend time converting videos to MP4. My friend bought an Android and wonder how to send the contacts from the iPhone over. We couldn't get the iPhone to pair bluetooth with any other phone and iTunes doesn't have a way to export the backup contact into "vcard" files. Eventually we did it through Google Sync. |

Opera is not open source or free. It is no cost but in no way open. I'm still waiting for portable FLAC players. |

That's not what tmx means, I suggest: It's about Opera's willingness to support open standards (and Apple's unwillingness to do so). Not to be confused with "open source", because as you've just shown, those are not related when it comes to Opera. |

I can't see how VLC can be allowed in the APP store, unless Apple change the parts of their EULA that conflict with the GPL |
