For me it's all about how to input data. I have always wanted a tablet the size of an ordinary 8.5x11 portfolio with reliable handwriting recognition. Then there is no need for a keyboard, or at least not a big good one, and it's as portable as any old-fashioned standard-sized folio. The iPad has some cool stuff, but if you need to do anything more than simple point-and-poke it's not much good.
