Personally, I think they have to cut some slack (and I don't mean Slack-ware)... What impresses me is that they got anything approaching a finished distro out the door in small number of mos. after announcing the merger of Maeomo & Moblin... If you have expectations of great things, well, I don't think you will be impressed with the user experience anytime soon. On the other hand, if you are wanting some under the hood changes from Moblin or Maemo,... then this is the area to be watching... But again,... the developers are merging two code-bases. You have to expect baby-steps. |

Also, one of his complains was the lack of software. This 1.0 release is meant to be for developers to use to develop apps, and this much has been stated. Much the same as the KDE 4.0 release was, but people also seemed to miss that fact. I guess naming any release point-oh will likely cause this sort of confusion. |
