Nah, what do you think, how large is the ark going to be, holding all data on the planet during the flood?

I'd say:

4 bits. One male and one female 0, and one male and one female 1.

After the flood, just start over. Obviously, bytes reproduce faster than rabbits (which begs the question: How many rab bits are in a byte?).
