Can we have a short moratorium (latin!) on "N of the adverb X" stories? This one scrapes the bottom of the barrel. Bottom-scraping seems like a trend with these "N of" stories for a while. And they're not news, and they're not interesting. |

I would like to nominate Phs's post as one of the three best suggestive posts I've seen today. |

Suggestive posts belong on the Steve Jobs/Android story. |

I like "N of the adverb X" stories, when they cover new things I'm not familiar with, or that deserve more attention. |

If the writer actually used all of N, that would be one thing ... |

Here's a suggestion: 10 Of The Most Annoying Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Bugs I vote for #445852 and #555169 (or anything else related to i8042.c). |

I like them, you can read those articles really quick and skip anything you already know. |

The main problem with this article is that it doesn't have a clear set of criteria for "tiny". I would never consider Crunchbang or VL Light to be "tiny" due to their large footprint. Smallness isn't the goal of the distributors in either case. VL Light scored poorly because it was shoehorned into a category where it clearly did not fit. You get the idea that the author only tested a handful he knows. Distros like CDLinux or Austrumi which would be better and definitely smaller choices for a "tiny" Slackware-based distro aren't even included. How about Finnix and xPUD? |

You could do a "standard" Debian install, add your dozen favorite "light" packages ... |

Caitlyn, I think you're right: The problem with these N of the adverb X stories is, they lack guidelines / requirements of why something makes it to the list or doesn't. |
