I mentioned this a while back, now I can run (crippled) Ubuntu and (near perfect) Android on my HTC TouchPro2, the latter operating system having functional Data and Wifi. I feel less secure using Android, at least it listed what features apps are capable of accessing to in my phone. But then your cell provider already data mine and sell the info to agencies that request the info. However, I still have a feeling Android does more data mining than usual and the religious ads are annoying. I guess I am going to have to wait patiently for MeeGo, but I rather not have to purchase those expensive Nokia.
