I still don't understand why the buttons needed to be moved. It is counter intuitive to those of us who have had the window controls on the right side of the window since always (most of us)... If we really wanted more new button on the top bar for applications, why not put the NEW buttons on the left side instead of the window controls?... Moving people from M$ to Linux is hard enough with out adding small annoyances like this to the change. IDK, thats just my 2 pence. ~Jeff |

What's even more interesting, is that the buttons had to move to make room. That's OK, though the part that trumped me was they didn't know for what they were making room. |

Quoting:It is counter intuitive to those of us who have had the window controls on the right sideNitpick: It has nothing to do with intuition, and everything to do with deeply-ingrained habit. I am accustomed to both. On my desktop system at home, I secondary-click on the left control button to close a window. On any other system, I primary-click on the X button, which is almost always on the right. Hence, I am in the habit of looking before I leap/click. |

Yes, but the order of the buttons are still not ideal. It should be a mirror of the right side buttons (close, max, min) or follow the same order (min, max, close). Instead they goof it up with (max, min, close), which makes no sense. I am testing out the beta and more than a couple times I have accidentally pressed the "close" button while mistaken it for the "min" button. So not only they change position, they even makes it more confusing. Unless they introduce something really amazing or useful on the right side, this will go down in history as a very goofy designing decision. |

Also, it does not really make room for anything. When you move something to another place, it only takes up the same amount of space there. |
