Dana Blankenhorn and Paula Rooney have also explored this subject:

According to their notes, the IIPA reads like a "Who's Who of Music and Copyright Protection" except that one member is the BSA and that in turn includes some very interesting names, assuming Dana is right on the nose.

Another item of interest is that the "attack list" includes Brazil, one of the places where open source has really taken off. I wonder if a largish company in Redmond is a "sleeper member" of the IIPA too ?

As far as a "sleeper" or "submarine" member, Microsoft is one of the biggest members of the BSA, isn't it? And the BSA is a member of the IIPA.

"Intellectual Property" is something of a contradiction, in that independent invention happens all the time. So this "IIPA" is bound to cause a lot of problems while it thrashes around the tarpit while dying.
