The link is trying to go to an Lxer registration page and gives an error.

Not sure how to help, I checked the link and takes me directly to the article on their site.

I'll try logging out/in

edit: Nope And other links I tried work fine...

edit again: Now it decided to work.....

/me is confused.

Try this:

http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_14478986 (mercurynews-dot-com-slash-business-slash-ci_14478986)

If that doesn't work, just go to

http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ (mercurynews-dot-com-slash-business)

And click on the story -- if it's still on the front page by Sunday or thereafter. The Merc is a little screwy about their links. Honestly, I don't know why they'd want to make it easy to get eyeballs on their pages . . . sheesh.

both links go to a blank page. I think they have blocked the 115.87.xxx.xxx part from the (their ) world . Has happened before with other links.

Thanks to all, and don't bother about it.

There is certainly something unusual going on, but it is not on the LXer side.

The URL Quoted is fake.

https://secure.lxer.com/registration/?rPage=login&url=http:/...

There is no "secure.lxer.com" subdomain, and secondly we do not offer https ssl service.

If you want I can pull the story off the newswire.
