No F-Spot, is spot on as some Brits say. Now I have reason to shill for pay in MS's behalf. What's there not to like?

Hey Ubuntues, do I have a deal for you ...

This is my cue to say, "Try Gthumb - does almost as much as digiKam but looks nicer; does way more than F-Spot without database messiness. If you need a notes app, Gnote does everything Tomboy does."

I run Rhythmbox as my music player. My needs aren't all that advanced, so it's been fine. I can't say whether or not Banshee would be better; I leave that to the rest of you.

But F-Spot just isn't ready for prime time in many ways.
