Andrew Orlowski is one of "The Register's" best writers, maybe because (not despite) his strongly held opinions. And, as this article proves, he's got a sense of humor and some creativity.

I usually avoid The Register, because it values snide over over facts*. For example, we may not suffer immediately the massive starvation predicted by these creepy types, since many will first suffer significant organ damage. if these first animal model results are shown to be valid http://www.biolsci.org/v05p0706.htm it will lessen the life span of many freeing up food supply for others and their foreshortened duration as a viable life form on this planet.
