And this guy is dangerous. His cavalier dispensing of information appears to have little to no real-world experience behind it.

I won't fault him for his Ubuntu-specific instructions, because he does explain why he focuses on Ubuntu. But check the comments. He assumes way too much about the capabilities of an unbootable system, and that's a very real possibility when messing around with the bootloader configuration.
