32% may be a very conservative number

The interview with Jeffrey Orr is interesting. Systems with both Linux and Windows (i.e.: the new Acer offering) count as Windows, which is considered the primary OS, rather than Android/Linux. As usual systems sold with Windows and then wiped to install Linux also don't count and Orr says that may account for another 2%. Fast boot Linux environments don't count when they lead to Windows. 32% represents just systems with Linux installed as the primary (or only) OS.

Even more interesting... the market is 90% Intel, 6% Via and other x86, and 4% ARM. MIPS isn't even mentioned. So... Linux has maintained a 32% marketshare as the primary OS mainly on Intel Atom based systems. That's even more impressive than what might have been gleaned from the original article.
