I came across Widelands about year ago and have been playing it on-and-off. It's quite fun :-) |

I remember Settlers and that I liked it. So, I'd like to try Widelands, BUT...... How do I go to the next mission? :> (I'm stuck at the end of the first tutorial scenario and feel vastly stupid) |

You're probably missing a mission objective. What scenario exactly are you stuck at? The first map of the barbarians tutorial? |

I got to the point it says "Victory!" and "you can keep playing or go to the next mission" (or something like that). Well, the former is easy, but how do I do the latter? :) |

I believe that there's a button on the "Victory!" popup to take you to the next mission. I don't know if it's possible togo to the next mission after you've kept playing first. I always advanced to the next mission immediately. |

Well, it turns out I can enter the later missions from the main menu, after I finish the earlier ones. Not exactly what I was expecting, but it works :) |

By the way, the developer of Widelands wrote a really interesting paper on simlulated economies. Sadly it was never implemented in Widelands due to a lack of time. http://www.s.kth.se/sigra/widelands-economy-documents/transp... |
