Another great Linux audio howto from Dave Phillips, even if it does talk about dreadful things like source code and makefiles. I even saw a int.

I was feeling all grouchy about the state of audio on Linux the other day-- so many tweaks! so much finicking!-- until I did some serious testing on WinXP and Vista. Didn't take long to change my mind, I became very appreciative that in Linux the user can actually fix things. Can't do that in winduhs, if a reboot doesn't cure it you're stuck.

I would have said: "Can't do that in winduhs, if a reboot doesn't cure it, try reinstalling, and if that doesn't work you're stuck."
