So very true, Jono. Many of us would have preferred to meander more than the 90 minutes twice a day that they opened the exhibition area to allow the session inmates their "yard time."

If I'm a vendor, I'm in IDG's offices right now demanding a refund, preferably without taking hostages.

Also, if I'm a vendor (along with already being an attendee), I'm looking much more closely at the regional -- and more effective -- events like Utah Open Source Conference, Atlanta and Ohio Linux fests, not to mention the Southern California Linux Expo, all of which seem to be doing right by vendors, attendees and presenters.

[I didn't mention all the regional events, but exclusion above does not mean your event is not worthwhile. If your event is regional and I didn't mention it above, I apologize -- don't flame me but instead count yourself in]

Up until reading Jono's report I was sad at not being able to go this year..but if the showroom floor was only open for 90 minutes a day, I didn't miss much..
