I don't always agree with Linus views but he's hit the nail on the head with this one.

I don't always agree with Linus either (who would, his clone?), but at the same time I think Linus alway has a point to make.

He seems to have avoided the celebrity "talk for the sake of talking" trap.

For SciFi/Fantasy fans, there is the _An Oblique Approach_ series, which I very much liked. The Etheopian King has a "slave" assigned to him specifically to act, like the royal jesters of old, as the one person whose job it is to tell the truth. It prevents the prince from getting a swelled head.

Linus, if I remember correctly, has been seriously taken to task at least once by his "maintainers", so I think he's fully aware of the reality of life. He may be The Linus, but he's still Linus Torvalds, just another hacker.
