The story's author claims to have been a happy "Word" user for ages. I find that hard to believe: every run in I've had with "Word" has been a harrowing experience, beginning with a 20-page document on Windows 3.11 in 1995, and ending with a detailed software design doc just a few weeks ago. The "Word" experience really hasn't changed much, just as he describes, so some element of truth lies in the article. I just keep coming back to him being a happy "Word" user, and getting wrapped around the axle about that. |
