That's going to be very useful when developing my web apps, because I am usually tailing four different log files when I am debugging (Apache access and error log, and the applications error and debug log).

hmm, thats one of the things I use Yakuake for. Split the window right and left, then however many other vertical splits you need to follow what ever you want. For me its usually emerge, /var/log/emerge.log. /var/log/emerge-fetch.log, and one more for whatever other command line silliness strikes my fancy.

each split pane gets its own tail -f, but other than that I can see everything as it happens.
