From the title I thought MS actually filed suit against Red Hat, and we would finally have some disclosure in the whole patent thing. But alas... |

MS won't pick fights it doesn't think it can win, and has been doing just fine with a plain old-fashioned patent protection racket. TomTom, Buffalo, Xandros, Linspire are all I can remember at the moment. Novell's patent agreement isn't even an agreement, since Novell and Microsoft disagree on what it covers. (Keep that in mind the next time you think big businesspeople are smart.) Red Hat, Canonical, and Mandriva all politely declined to be extorted, and so far they have not been smited by thunderbolts. |

Businesspeople are just people like you and me.. some are smart, some are not and some are smart, but in bad company. |
