I think Linus is capable of using a computer so I know that he knows or can know what the new world order is and represents.

I think it's safe to say that projects like gNewSense & linux-libre are starting to make a lot more sense. That being said I was already planning on heading in that direction..

Wow. Talk about taking sarcasm badly.

Oh, right, that definition thing:

Sarchasm: The gap between the sarcastic comment and the one that didn't get it.

Wish I'd thought of it.

Some magazine/newspaper runs a somewhat famous contest. Take a word, add/change/subtract one letter to create a new word, then define it.

In the several year's winners that I've read about, "sarchasm" is the only one I remember. It's very useful.

If you go to the RaLink site at http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Linux.html you will see the following quote.

Quoting:Ralink is very active in the Linux community, and provides source code for many of its client drivers to developers. You can find our Linux drivers and supporting information below:

However the RaLink drivers for the rt2860 wireless card don't work, at least not properly, on either Ubuntu or Mandriva. I've also tried compiling the source files available at the RaLink link above, with no joy. So much for RaLink's "very active in the Linux community" BS, they can't or won't supply a driver that actually works.

I've tried this on Jaunty UNR and the alpha of Karmic UNR (which has 2.6.30-8 as the kernel).

My Ralink chipset works, but... on Mandriva Free it didn't until the driver or firmware came from that restricted place in the repo. Very active in the Linux community in a closed source sort of way.

Definition: An artificial sweetener that makes another Bobism go down easier, however, it has the failing of leaving a pungent after taste.
