1. Appl$ is still living down their mistake of going to a meeting with M$ about operating systems.

2. Steve Ballmer said himself that "Linux" is a bigger threat than Appl$.

M$ knows that the "Linux Foundation" is young yet and is going to take advantage of all that comes with it.

Just another case of history repeating itself? Only time will tell. Hmmm
