Just so you know, you can easily remix/respin Fedora as well

I did this back in Dec 2008 but I have been using it every few days to build a remastered Fedora 10 with all updates applied and all of the multimedia stuff I want: Screencast: How to Build a Fedora 10 Remix http://www.montanalinux.org/fedora-remix-howto-screencast.ht... Given how the initial LiveCD media that Fedora releases becomes very outdated after a few months, and the FedoraUnity folks don't have the resources to respin (and QA) the LiveCD images, making your own is highly recommended. My personal spin now has about 1,575 packages and is about 1.9GB. When I boot it as a LiveDVD and do an "Install to Hard Disk".. that machine is fully updated and has all of the software I want already installed... so I go from LoveDVD boot to fully customized system in about 5 minutes. :) |
