I just read the article after reading KS and TC's comments. I was hoping for some fine point of confusion and started reading it with a slant to looking for confusion between the definitions of OSS and Free Software. I didn't find any, granted that OSA might tick off the FSF folks, but it falls within the realm of OSS defintions. It may or may not reach OSI approved licenses, but getting a new license approved isnt as simple as saying here it is, and it meets the stated requirements, so that argument is a non starter. Especially if the anti-proliferation folks get involved in the discussion. |
