Exactly. All they have to do is what they do for their other machines - OEM a standard x86 setup, put it in a designer case, bingo. Its as much junk or not junk as anything else on the market. The only distinctive thing is the OS. They could have a non-junk netbook out tomorrow for the same price everyone else does them for. They don't want to. Similarly, they could have a non-junk entry level separate with decent graphics to replace the Mini. Its not their marketing strategy though. Hey, who knows, they may be right. Financially speaking, and at least in the short term. |
