Nice read. I admire her way of handling "legacy view" commentors. I'm not as optimistic as the author, though. People who keep repeating "Linux 1995" characteristics in 2008 on Linux fora and article threads have an agenda to push. How can anyone claim "Linux is CLI only" online with a straight face, after myriads of articles about and screenshots of Desktop Environments? Same goes for the compiling of software. |
