that's the reason for things like mnesia
http://www.erlang.org/doc/apps/mnesia/index.html It won't replace long term persistent storage solutions like Oracle or Postgresql, but it can be used to serve data to and from distributed systems and write it out to the SQL RDBMS's as time allows. |
