Seriously, so they dropped the stupid NDA. That doesn't stop the fact that they charge you to develop for the iPhone and reserve the right to reject adding your application to the store or to remove it at any time they feel like. Compared to that, I'd say the stupid NDA is a pretty small issue. |

Quoting:so they dropped the stupid NDA. No, they dropped half of it. Only when your application is *released* the NDA goes away. While you're developing you're under NDA. And AFAICT the much objected to part (you can't disclose Apple's reason for declining your app) is still under NDA. |

Fave quote:Quoting: "We put the NDA in place because the iPhone OS includes many Apple inventions and innovations that we would like to protect, so that others don’t steal our work. It has happened before. While we have filed for hundreds of patents on iPhone technology, the NDA added yet another level of protection. We put it in place as one more way to help protect the iPhone from being ripped off by others." Preciouss secretss, and all your code are belong to us. |

I don't see anything about the iPhone that is particularly innovative, unless you consider the way it's advertised, or the neat way Apple have of grabbing your Credit Card number..... You have to install iTunes in order to implement email synchronisation between your computer and your iPhone, and before you can install iTunes you have to give Apple your Credit Card Number. |

You have to install iTunes in order to get a hot sync capability? Isn't that "product tying", hence illegal in the USA? |
