Under Ubuntu, I've uses IEs4Linux a few times to get IE on my Linux box, and on the Ubuntu platform it works.

Unless they've miraculously updated their site, the Debian viersion is still pegged to Sarge.

Luckily my need for IE has magically gone away now that Opera can do the one thing for which I used to need IE, but if you do need it, this is an easy way to get it.

I use ies4linux to check the websites I build. Trouble is that IE7 is still borked (it's IE6 with the rendering engine ripped out and replaced by IE7, but it's buggy). Still, better than nothing. I can use it to develop my websites and be quite confident it works. I only ever do one final check with the real thing on a (borrowed) WIndows machine and I've never had to change a thing.
