Someone manages to find an exploit, and suddenly that means that FOSS folks don't care about security? *scratches head*

Personally, I think the security record of FOSS vs. commercial products speaks for itself.

But then what do I know? Merely having that opinion obviously make me one of those long haired Linux hippie fanboi's, doesn't it?

I guess I'm one too then...

It almost sounds like he's trying to say that FOSS folks have been living by the "Security based on market share" mindset. I.E. "Nobody uses it, therefore its secure, so why should we bother testing it."

*looks at the large portion of the internet running on *nix/apache* *looks at the NSA working with Linux* *looks at SELinux*

Yup...obviously we're ignoring security altogether and never test anything since NOBODY is using FOSS....
