Google still doesn't support the AGPL. A shame, really.

Why is that a shame, other, perhaps, than curiosity or a desire to compete with them using their own stuff?

I love the GPL, but have never been able get exceited about the AGPL.

You may not get excited over it, but other people are.

The question was why.

Because the AGPL is a reasonaly popular license and probably will become more popular not that it comes from the FSF. "License proliferation" is a BS argument. The AGPL does not compete with the GPL or other licenses. It designed to solve a different problem.

Sorry Dino, I have to agree with Sander on this.

Google of all people not supporting the AGPL is kinda backwards don't you think?

Doesn't most if not all of their software run over some kind of network?

That's fine, but the question remains unanswered.

So, the AGPL is popular. I presume there is a reason for that.
