If the Red Hat engineer already knows what's wrong with Perl, why not simply tell their customers how to fix it, instead of making them wait for RH to release it in the next version? That's trying to turn The Bazaar into The Cathedral. |

I'd love for them to get more specific. I wonder when this problem started. If this is as bad as the story says, it's a huge problem for servers, and letting it persist is a bad thing, indeed. |

I expect it started in the Red Hat codebase. If it were a problem in core Perl, it would affect many more distros. |
