The point of this is to get OSS developers to use Microsoft Technology. So yes they can be trusted. It's thier interest to be trustworthy. |

The point is this is part of Microsoft's attempt to make Windows relevent to OSS developers, to sell more windows based hardware , and more Windows development tools. How free is OSS when you rely on Microsoft IDEs and underlying technologies, for your development work? |
