Ah...the ever present "security through obscurity" argument. It seems to me that it's more likely corporations don't open source security because: 1. Their system is really very insecure and they are hoping nobody will find out 2. They have nice back doors built in that would get them in lots of trouble if someone found out 3. They are stealing IP/code/methods/whatever from someone else and don't want to get sued for it 4. They really believe the security through obscurity arguments |
