Y'know... I just remembered something from my childhood and thought I'd bore at least some of you with it now. Brace...

About 1986/87-ish, when I was still a wee lad in school, for my science project I made a little VHS presentation using my Amiga 500 and some paint/animation software. The presentation was all about how I thought that in "the future", educational resources would move onto portable electronic devices, and that students will end up eventually using these instead of paper for their reference material.

The third day of the science fair, or whatever the heck that was, I was giving my presentation for the millionth time, and there was a woman in the crowd who had come with her son. She had a grin on her face the whole time while I was talking... I was not sure why just yet - but...

Later that night I was standing in the dark parking lot, waiting for my parents to come pick me up when that same woman and a friend of hers came out, and I overheard her saying to her friend about the ridiculous presentation she saw, with some kid going on and on about the schools of the future. She thought it was hilarious.

Here's hoping a fridge falls on her head.

@jacog:

Just remember the joke about Michael Jordan's massive income, with his basketball contract, plus his product endorsements....

And how it would take him 270 years to have a net worth equal that of Bill Gates.

That joke unfortunately only proves one thing:
