The major overhaul is finished and released as stable, or as stable as anything gets that is based off of bleeding edge testing packages. The major news for it is the binary package system on a Gentoo base that maintains Gentoo's source compatibility. Basically apt-get install speeds mixed with the tweakability of Gentoo.

I have played with each of the beta releases for this overhaul and was happy for the most part, beta's always having a few glitches to iron out. I already have the new DVD iso on it's way, but poor me off in the sticks of Alaska, it will take about 2.5 to 3 days for it to download.

A great thank you, from me to lxnay, and the core-beta team, you rock.

Time for a testdrive. I didn't believe Fabio (lxnay) would put it off when he started the entropy project, but it looks he did. Unbelievable! Finally pre-compiled packages Gentoo with all settings pre-made.
