This kind of thing is pretty stupid. Especially when millions of users find out that their extension suddenly don't work.

What extensions would those be? All my extensions have been working with the ff3 betas and rcs, and they work now with the ff3 release.

It was pretty stupid. The download link wasn't up this morning. This afternoon, the download link was finally available, but downloaded 2.0.0.14 rather than FF3. What's more, by the time the link appeared the deadline had passed.

Pretty lame.

Also, this confusing bit in the BBC piece:
Quoting:Net gains

The attempt to break the record will begin at 1800 BST.

Which day at 1800 hours was this to start -- the evening BST-time just BEFORE June 17th or the evening BST-time OF June 17th itself ??

Also, not entirely clear of the use of BST?? Is it British Summer Time (BST) - UK Daylight Saving Time --- the most likely time? -or- Could this possibly be Bangladesh Standard Time --- much closer to the hours of Mozilla devs in Northern India?

The UTC reference timezone, a.k.a. GMT, might have been slightly clearer here.
