It's not quite as bad as he makes it sound. I used to work with the blokes that wrote that Windows client, it's a COM component written in VB6. And while I'd much rather have a native Linux application, it runs just fine under WINE, I have it installed on my machine.

It is too that bad. The whole premise of "windoze or nuthin!" is really irritating. It's ignorant and obnoxious. Especially when it's a lot shorter leap from a Mac to Linux/Unix client than it is from Windows to Mac, and they have a Mac client, and especially when it's a government office which is supposed to serve all constituents, not just the WindozenMac lamers. A big steaming poo on them.
