I just did a Debian Etch server install

If Etch ran better on my Gateway, I'd be using it instead of Lenny.

But on my fake server (on the local network only), I'm using Etch. It's like a comfortable pair of slippers, it is.

But it's so boring...it just works. Maybe you should use Ubuntu, surely the new one has some bugs that could make life interesting.
