They have these obnoxious adverts. |
Bob_Robertson Apr 20, 2008 3:17 PM EDT |
Couldn't agree more. |
tuxchick Apr 20, 2008 3:40 PM EDT |
Even O'Gara should know that geeks don't have sex. |
azerthoth Apr 20, 2008 4:27 PM EDT |
Except those buying certain servers *wink* |
Scott_Ruecker Apr 20, 2008 4:48 PM EDT |
Don't have sex?!?!? wait a second... ;-) |
tuxchick Apr 20, 2008 5:18 PM EDT |
Looks like we need to revoke Scott's geek membership. |
azerthoth Apr 20, 2008 6:36 PM EDT |
It might just be a side effect of his other passion, drummers need love too. |
Scott_Ruecker Apr 20, 2008 7:23 PM EDT |
Shameless self promotion ahead! I just found out about this two days ago.. The picture in the upper righthand corner is my band playing at a mall type place in the Phoenix metro area recently. That's me playing the drums. Cool huh? http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewpro... The music that plays on the page is not ours though, we have our own myspace page. I make some decent side cash once in a while. |

So where's the link to your band, so I can hear what you sound like. I've been learning guitar for about 6 months now, and some pro musician friends let me sit in on a private jam on the weekend, I'm pretty pleased because they invited me back to their next session. |
tuxchick Apr 20, 2008 8:13 PM EDT |
Scott, you're digging yourself deeper. You admit to mingling in meatspace with other humans. **sounds of geekcred membership card getting shredded** I'm sorry, but we have standards to maintain. |
Scott_Ruecker Apr 20, 2008 8:24 PM EDT |
tuxchick; I deserved that. Tracy; here it is, my favorites are R-n-B, Baluuns and Trinity. http://www.myspace.com/curium |

Hey you're in the same neck of the woods as a couple of other e friends of mine, Torch and Red, I got Torch to finally try Linux, she started on Mandriva a couple of years ago and (boo hiss) moved to Ubuntu, now she's got Red using Linux on a dual Boot Linux/Windows (For Games) rig. |
dinotrac Apr 21, 2008 1:03 AM EDT |
TC -- Forget that wannabe Scott. Something you said has disturbed me profoundly. There are other humans? |
gus3 Apr 21, 2008 7:54 AM EDT |
@dino: No, we are mere AI programs. And we obviously just failed the Turing test. |
jdixon Apr 21, 2008 8:00 AM EDT |
> There are other humans? Depends on how you define human I suppose. :) |
Scott_Ruecker Apr 21, 2008 8:04 AM EDT |
I am not a wannabe! I'm Not! I'm Not! I'm Not! LOL |
theboomboomcars Apr 21, 2008 11:24 AM EDT |
I know you are all figments of my imagination. Since nothing on the interweb is real. |
techiem2 Apr 21, 2008 11:29 AM EDT |
Is the interweb even real? |
theboomboomcars Apr 21, 2008 11:40 AM EDT |
No, it is just a figment of my Imagination for all of you to be in. It's good to protect reality from fantasy, so just create a web of imagination for all of your figments to be in. |
jezuch Apr 21, 2008 2:53 PM EDT |
Professor Corcoran? Is that you again? |
Steven_Rosenber Apr 22, 2008 12:12 PM EDT |
I think we need a YouTube video of Scott at the drum kit. |
Scott_Ruecker Apr 22, 2008 12:59 PM EDT |
That's pure crazy talk Steve..pure genius crazy talk that is..but still. |
Bob_Robertson Apr 22, 2008 2:08 PM EDT |
> geeks don't have sex. {Bob looks over at "his" two kids, and starts to get mad at his wife...} |
tuxchick Apr 22, 2008 2:45 PM EDT |
Bob, you are so forgetful. You ordered them from Newegg. |
Sander_Marechal Apr 22, 2008 2:54 PM EDT |
Thanks for that image TC. I'll never look at the name "Newegg" in quite the same way... |
Bob_Robertson Apr 22, 2008 4:38 PM EDT |
> You ordered them from Newegg. Very likely. They are far, far too beautiful to have sprung from my sirloins. When designer genetics becomes a reality, Newegg won't even have to put up a new web site. Maybe they thought about that before coming up with their company name.... |
Steven_Rosenber Apr 22, 2008 8:39 PM EDT |
Hope you checked out the user ratings before ordering ... |
