Canned pork product, you say? Perhaps you should try the Pirate Bay. Now shut up and go away. Before you cause a melee. Have a nice day. |

Just another spambot. So many of the darned things have been released into the Internet they have taken on lives of their own. I wish they would return to their masters and stab them between their heads. |

Quoting:can u provide cbt neggets for linux. One can see that the piece was originally posted to LXer 2 1/2 years ago on Sep 13, 2005 by tadelste. While CBT Nuggets does have streaming Linux-training videos, (sorry, must register for these!) available via http://www.cbtnuggets.com/webapp/videos , why not instead obtain the bona fide hands-on practice and experience that the LPI tests candidates upon ?? One could start with going through the rute, http://rute.2038bug.com, on a spare low-end Testing system --- DO NOT use a Production system! Note that rute 1.0.0 is somewhat dated and the author, Paul Sheer, claims that only the LPIC-1 exam-material is covered within. One could also go through Linux from Scratch, http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/ using this Test system. For freely-available LPI exam-specific material and review --- of course(!) practicing this on the Test system just built- -- check out IBM's fine developworks 'Linux Professional Institute (LPI) exam prep' at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/linux/lpi/?S_TACT=105AGX03... Again as for the free streaming CBT Nuggets videos, there is a required one-time registration. Besides LXer responses such as this one, one's local Linux Users Group (=LUG) may very well be able to provide further LPI-specific resources upon request. Seriously consider going through http://www.linux.org/groups/ to find and participate in the closest LUG. |

First off, the correct Rute User's Tutorial and Exposition link is http://rute.2038bug.com/
An extra web-browsing-defeating comma got in the way at the end of vainrveenr's above link. Secondly, I myself do not see any connection between the accurate URL-name of this rute training website and the _real_ year 2038 bug mentioned at Red Hat Magazine's 'Tips and tricks: What is the 2038 bug? Is my system affected? How do I fix this issue?' Was there somehow an implied connection here? |
