I thought it was really funny when I saw "Red Flag Linux", which was RedHat with a different red object, as the official Linux in Beijing. My wife is Chinese, so I've been keeping my eyes out for a Linux which has serious native Chinese support turned on by default. Like when the Soviet Union was caught using clones of the IBM 360 in their government computer facilities. I'm actually very pleased by the progress toward individual liberty in China, the uptake of Linux is an excellent example. |

We can but hope. Hell of a lot of potential Linux users. More geeks, more code jockeys. Can't guess where they will take Linux. |

I remember an article last week about how Korea -- North and South -- is big on Linux. I didn't know they even had computers in the North. |
