Being a native "english" -- i.e., ex-colonial -- speaker doesn't absolve you from having to write by the rules. This makes my toes curl. Sheesh squared! |

I'm not a native English speaker and thus I was taught this right. And now the massive (yes, it's massively common) confusion about "its" and "it's" in "native" speakers causes me to think twice every time I write one of these as I'm starting to be confused myself ;) Sheesh cubed! |

You're right, I corrected the title of the article. Probably that's all LXer can do for you. |

> And now the massive (yes, it's massively common) confusion Eh? It's = it is. Anything else uses its. That's simple enough. Now try explaining that to my fingers while I'm typing though. Even though I know the rule, I still can't always type it correctly. And it's and easy typo to miss when you're reviewing. Added: as apparently is and/an. I won't bother correcting it. |
