I think that Google time line is not handling European formatted dates correctly. |

I didn't spot that, but the most bizarre errors seem to be caused by confusing version numbers with dates instead. "Kernel 2.6.11" was apparently released on 2/6/11 (6/2/11 to us on the other side of pond) or February the sixth 1911 (first result). |

if this kind of time line is auto-generated from numbers which look about right (i.e. are in the form x.x.x, where x is any number which forms a valid date) then any project with a 3 part version number should have the same problem.
also if this is the case do 1907 and 2007 get mixed up when abbreviated? hmm... I just checked and “gnome view:timeline” has a similar problem (although most of the wrongly dated results seem of only tangential relevance). “KDE view:timeline” seems mostly unscathed although I only glanced at it. |
