It's a bit of a misleading title, but great news :-) If I understand it correctly, ATI won't simply open the code for their current drivers but write new drivers, together with the community. Probably because there's too much non-ATI code in the current closed drivers. It's likely that parts from the closed source drivers will be ported to the open drivers though. |
